Herriott Grace visits Atelier Make

You just never know what friendships may become over time, or distance, or over a shared appreciation for beautiful things. The story of "Atelier Make for Herriott Grace" is a little like that.

This past weekend our friends from Herriott Grace graced us with their presence...along with several hundred pounds of photographic equipment. Watching Nikole Herriott and Micheal Graydon work their magic together was truly a delight.

If you've ever spent time wondering (like we do) how Nikole's styling and Micheal's photos can seem so effortless yet so considered you'd be even more amazed watching them work. Behind the scenes it feels as effortless as it does on the screen.

The little known detail about all of this is that Nikole and I were friends as teenagers, skipping class together, stealing the occasional jar pickled carrots from her mother's pantry....the kind of trouble most kids get up to!

And today that friendship has led us to sharing our appreciation for beautiful objects. With one another and with you!

Guess Who's on the cover of Chatelaine?
That's right! Chatelaine's January 2013 cover features our "Rustic Earthenware Pedestal" which has been created in collaboration with Herriott Grace (and is sold exclusively on the Herriott Grace shop). Stay tuned for a new pedestal design to be launched later this year!

St. Henry General Store

We're excited to announce that a few of our designs are now being sold at the newly opened St. Henry General Store. Owner Jasson Mossa has created a store on Notre Dame Street that pays homage to the neighbourhood's history. The store features locally produced specialty food products and hand-crafted designs for the kitchen and home. This shop is a treat to set foot in. We highly recommend a visit!
